According to Deborah Neisz, who is the daughter of the last owners (1954 to early 1970s), the motel featured live music on Friday and Saturday nights and was once attended by Elvis who arrived on a motorcycle. It was owned by Ann and Bill Hayes. The switchboard was manned by Abby, Deborah's grandmother. The motel burned sometime around 1974. There's a gas station and a shrimp stand there now.
